Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript has not been published previously and is not currently under consideration for publication in any other journal. If there are exceptions, they should be explained in the Comments to the Editor.
  • The manuscript file must be in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF format.
  • All references that are accessible online should include their URLs.
  • The manuscript should be typed with single spacing, in a 12-point font size, using italics for emphasis instead of underlined text (with the exception of URLs). All illustrations, images, and tables should be included in the text at the appropriate locations, not separated at the end of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript must adhere to the style guide and bibliography rules outlined in the Author Guidelines.

General Provisions

DIMASETA Journal: Community Service Journal of STIE Surakarta contains the results of community service activities in the fields of economics, social affairs, education, and community empowerment.

Manuscripts are submitted electronically via: https://jurnal.stiesurakarta.ac.id

Manuscripts are written using Microsoft Word, A4 paper size, single spacing, Cambria 12 pt font, and in a single-column format. The manuscript length is between 8–20 pages, including tables and images. Left margin 3 cm, right margin 2 cm, top margin 2 cm, bottom margin 2 cm.

The language used is Indonesian or English. Manuscripts must follow the provided template (downloadable from the journal website).

Authors are required to read the OJS-Author Guidebook to understand the procedures for manuscript submission, including the upload process, submission steps, revisions, and article updates throughout the review and publication stages.

 

Writing Structure  

  • Initial section: Title, author's name, affiliation, article history, abstract, and keywords.  
  • Main section: Introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions.  
  • Final section: Acknowledgments (if applicable) and references.

Title and Author Names

Title is written in all capital letters at the beginning of each word (except for conjunctions), with a maximum of 14 words, in bold, and single-spaced. Author names are written without academic titles. Affiliation includes the name of the institution, address, and email of the corresponding author.

Abstract

The abstract is written in both Indonesian and English. Each version consists of 150–200 words and is presented in a single paragraph. The abstract should include background information, research methods, main results, and conclusions. 

Keywords are 3–6 words, written below the abstract, separated by commas.

Writing Guidelines

Each subheading should be written in bold. New paragraphs should be indented by 1 cm. Tables and figures must be numbered and include clear descriptions. All numbers should be written numerically, unless they appear at the beginning of a sentence.

References

References should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition style. All references listed must be cited within the text. Using reference management software like Mendeley is recommended.

Articles

DIMASETA accepts contributions in the form of original research results that focus on problem-solving or the development of knowledge in the field of Economics and Business. The submitted manuscript must ensure that it has not been published or is currently under review elsewhere.

Each manuscript will be processed through a Double-Blind Peer Review mechanism to ensure objectivity and quality. Authors are expected to adhere to the formatting guidelines. Academic integrity is a priority: any manuscript suspected of plagiarism above 30% will be rejected. The journal applies an Open Access policy with a CC BY-SA license, which means authors agree to the free availability of their work immediately after publication.
