The implementation methods included observation, counseling, demonstrations, direct practice, and periodic mentoring for participants. The training materials covered business cleanliness, health and hygiene, work safety, and sustainable environmental management. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding and skills in implementing CHSE principles in their business operations. The methods used in this activity included direct observation of the products and production process, collaborative discussions with the SME owner, identification of ingredient terms and product slogans, and joint evaluation of the translation results. The activity was carried out gradually through a process of linguistic and cultural adaptation to ensure that the packaging content could be understood by the international target market. The results of the activity show that the assistance helped the SME prepare more communicative bilingual packaging suitable for global market needs. The main challenges faced by the partner stem from an unstructured conventional stock-recording mechanism, which leads to the risk of data discrepancies, raw material inefficiencies, and operational cash flow constraints. To address these issues, the implementation method was carried out systematically through four main stages: problem identification through observation, education on inventory management literacy, assistance in developing inventory tools, and periodic monitoring and evaluation. The results of the intervention demonstrate a significant improvement in partners’ understanding of the importance of inventory control for business resilience. Currently, partners have been able to implement an organized system for recording inventory transactions and conduct periodic inventory reconciliations to mitigate the risks of stockouts and the accumulation of unproductive inventory. Comprehensively, this community service initiative has made a tangible contribution to enhancing production effectiveness and business management efficiency. This success serves as a strategic foundation for Maison Momotaro Bakery in building a more professional, measurable, and sustainable operational system for the future.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat STIE Surakarta https://jurnalpengabdian.stiesurakarta.ac.id/Dms/article/view/207 Entrepreneurship Training as an Effort to Improve Work and Business Readiness of Students at SMK Wijaya Kusuma Surakarta 2026-06-09T14:10:12+00:00 Ngaisah [email protected] Retnoning Ambarwati [email protected] Ahmad Husin [email protected] Sri Isfantin Puji Lestari [email protected] Edi Purwanto [email protected] MG. The partner's primary problems include limitations in implementing structured operational management, inconsistent service quality, sub-optimal store layout, and reactive decision-making. This condition potentially reduces business competitiveness. This Community Service (PKM) program aims to assist the partner in restructuring operational management to enhance local retail competitiveness. The method employed a qualitative approach based on strategic management through observation, in-depth interviews with the owner and five employees, and supporting documentation. The service action was realized through direct mentoring, consisting of structured operational management socialization, formulation of simple Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for customer service and store management, and discussions on rearranging the store layout. The results showed an increase in the partner's understanding and commitment to implementing the recommended operational strategies. These operational improvements include enhancing customer service quality, consistent SOP implementation, restructuring showcase layout for convenience, and strengthening the owner's strategic decision-making role. In conclusion, this mentoring strategy drives transformations toward structured operational governance, contributing significantly to building a competitive advantage and sustaining local retail businesses.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat STIE Surakarta https://jurnalpengabdian.stiesurakarta.ac.id/Dms/article/view/208 Strengthening Financial Technology Literacy for the Young Generation in the Digital Economy Era 2026-06-09T14:12:30+00:00 Airlin Permata Sari [email protected] Yety Anggraini [email protected] Wahyu Wismawati [email protected] Dian Noor Citra Perdana [email protected] Endang Winarsih [email protected]
The development of the digital economy has increased the use of financial technology (fintech) among young people. However, high access to digital financial services has not been matched by adequate financial literacy, which potential lead to consumptive behavior and misuse of fintech services. This community service activity aims to improve students' financial technology literacy through a participatory-educative approach. The methods used include socialization, workshops, and focused group discussions (FGD). The results of the activity show positive dynamics during the mentoring process, marked by increased active student participation and changes in mindset regarding the use of fintech. In addition, social changes occurred, including increased knowledge, more critical attitudes toward digital financial risks, and more rational financial behavior. This activity also successfully fostered a new awareness among students that fintech is not only a tool for transactions but also a means of managing finances productively and responsibly. Thus, strengthening financial technology literacy has proven effective in encouraging the transformation of young people's financial behavior towards readiness to face the digital economy era.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat STIE Surakarta https://jurnalpengabdian.stiesurakarta.ac.id/Dms/article/view/212 Moringa Leaf-Based Food Product Innovation Training to Strengthen the Community's Creative Economy 2026-06-09T14:14:11+00:00 Rini Hayati Lubis [email protected] Nurul Izzah [email protected] Risna Hairani Sitompul [email protected]
Moringa oleifera leaves are a local resource with high nutritional value and the potential to be developed into various value-added food products. The implementation method used was intensive participatory-based mentoring, which encompassed several systematic stages, including initial observation, problem identification, outreach, targeted training, and report preparation assistance. The results of this activity demonstrated significant success, with partners experiencing an increased understanding of business financial management.
